Progressive movement activists pushed for and achieved the establishment of Grand Canyon as a National Park. In this lesson students will analyze the legislative acts that created the national park system, make connections between the development of the park system and Progressive movement, and identify the impact of progressive activists such as John Muir in the establishment of Grand Canyon National Park.
